He started his martial arts journey at a young age with the Dillingham’s but stopped to pursue school sports. He resumed training in 2000 with Soke Bill Seibert, learning the Emperor's Long Fist Kung Fu. There he achieved an Orange Sash. In 2007, he began training in the Tiger Shark Hapkido discipline under Master Tommy Little, who is under Grand Master John Dowdy, the founder of the Tiger Shark system.
He continued his training 4 days a week for 2 hours each day, soon earning his 1st Degree Black Belt in Tiger Shark Hapkido. Shortly after receiving his black belt, he began training in Tiger Shark Juijitsu. He also achieved a Black Belt in this discipline. After earning his 3rd Degree in Tiger Shark Hapkido, Master Little passed the school down to Sensei Tony.
In March 2013, he teamed up with Sensei Juan and formed the Universal Self Defense Academy. They later welcomed Sensei Darlene into their martial arts family as an Associate Instructor and PR Manager.
Sensei Tony has a wonderful wife and two amazing children, 1 son and 1 daughter. His hobbies are reading, martial arts, and training.
